UI: visual clarity and response

A consistent interface makes the game easier to read.

A small design system

Establish typography, spacing, colors, icon conventions and control states. Reserve strong emphasis for the next useful action. Distinguish interactive elements from ornament and keep the interface legible against active gameplay.

Controls that communicate

Use recognizable icons with accessible names, toggles for binary choices and clear selection states. Explain unavailable actions when useful. Show immediate input feedback without allowing animations to hide the final result or create accidental double actions.

Gameplay information

Keep score, turn, timer and objective consistent across modes. Combine color with shape, text or position so a color difference is not the only signal. Long labels, localization and dynamic values should not resize the board unexpectedly.

Acceptance evidence

Check contrast, focus order, touch interaction, text scaling and narrow layouts on the actual candidate. Liam coordinates implementation; Ananya reviews accessibility independently through Eleanor. A style guide alone does not demonstrate that the implemented interface passes review.
