Testing & Quality

Inclusive play by design

An understandable game should welcome more players

Information beyond colour

Use symbols, patterns and labels where colour carries meaning. Contrast should help the player inspect the game rather than serve as decoration alone.

Controls and readability

Consider touch size, keyboard focus, text fit and predictable navigation. Instructions and feedback need to remain readable on the actual supported devices.

Audio and motion choices

Provide alternatives to essential sound and consider reduced effects where movement is not necessary to the mechanic. Preferences should be easy to find.

Honest accessibility claims

Publish features that have been checked and state known limitations. Inclusive design is an ongoing responsibility, not a badge awarded by attractive artwork.
