Game Creation
Designing the experience
From an idea to a game a player can understand
The core loop
Describe what the player repeatedly does and how the game responds. The loop should connect actions to consequences so that success feels understandable.
Challenge and progression
Difficulty can grow through new decisions, combinations or constraints. We aim to avoid simply making information harder to see or interactions less forgiving.
Feedback that teaches
Sound, movement, highlights and explanations help players understand a result. Essential information needs alternatives when colour, hearing or motion cannot be relied upon.
A living design brief
The brief records goals, rules, states, controls and known limits. It changes when testing produces evidence, with implementation and review kept aligned to the same version.
